Although YesBut welcomes the submission of draft papers, they should reflect your best efforts. In particular, drafts that are incomplete, with poor spelling or formatting are discouraged. Remember, low quality papers get low quality reviews.
Try to write a review that you, as an author, would find useful. Try to be specific in your suggestions, and minimise (negative) opinions. Your review is not required to decide upon suitability for publication, but to support improvement. Remember that your review can be read by any other YesBut peer.
The archive keeps a copy of each draft of every paper. Only the latest draft is accessible by searching. An obsolete version is not accessible unless the reader noted the version information while it was still current. This aims to balance the desire of authors to withdraw early drafts, and that of readers to reference material they have read, in the form that they read it.
Each YesBut peer must stay out of debt to their peers. Upon joining
each peer begins with three credits. Making a paper reviewable costs three
credits. Writing a review gains one credit, with a bonus one credit for the first
review of a new paper.
